Speaking of Germans and rivetters named Rosie.....
If we suddenly started converting our currency to Euros rather than (nolongerso) greenbacks, wouldn't the Center of our Universe's manufacturing woes be over, like, yesterday?

Well you can convert the currency into US dollars or Euros, whichever you like - to get around currency woes, Centre of Universe manufacturers have to export to Europe rather than to the U.S., which many do, but the shipping costs are higher, of course, so they mainly export to the U.S.
The better plan (in my opinion) would be for Canada to have two (or more) currencies, one for the West and one for the East.
It's somewhat ironic that (again, in my opinion) one of the biggest benefits Quebec might get from separating would be having their own currency, yet that seems to be one of the things they most do not want out of separation.
