And Now for Something Completely Different...
I see that Blogger has finally added picture uploading capability. This calls for a parade!

This Blog focusses primarily on commercial and government ethics as well as Canadian politics with digressions into international politics and anything else that seems relevant, interesting, amusing, or at the very least better than not posting at all

Pingu!

I would consider myself a pingu fan, but some people take it a whole other level.
This site (which I think is the one I stole the pic from) is definitely the best of the bunch though.
You have to love the intro: "My wife and I are crazy about Pingu. Since we knew Pingu, our pingu goods collections are increasing more and more. We are surrounded by Pingu, and the goods always. Now Pingu is a part of our life. We introduce our Pingu and his friends in this site"

I own a Pingu t-shirt. Pingu is in the middle, facing straight ahead, and is flanked by his sister Pinga and Robbie the seal. I only know their names because I looked it up a long time ago - I swear!
I actually receive frequent (positive) comments when I wear the shirt around downtown. I've also seen crowds of Japanese tourists pointing at me - while I can't guarantee it is because of the shirt, I believe Pingu is in fact well-known over there.

Judging by the fan sites, I'd say Pingu definitely has some core supprt in Asia, with a strong outpost in Europe - never caught on quite as much in North America for some reason...

Probably the lack of fart jokes.
